What is the Restylane® treatment like? Restylane® is injected in small amounts under your skin to fill creases, lines, wrinkles or folds. A skin test is not necessary prior to treatment, so treatment with Restylane® can be performed at any time. In order to optimize your comfort, the treatment area may be anesthetized with a topical cream or anesthetic block. What can I expect following treatment with Restylane® You can resume normal activities following Restylane® treatment. The most commonly reported side effect has been redness, bruising and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within a few hours or, at most, a day or two. Results are immediately evident. Lines, wrinkles and folds look softer and your skin looks smooth. How long do the results of Restylane® last? Depending on many factors, such as your lifestyle, age, location it is injected, and skin structure results of Restylane® injections may last as long as six months to a year or more. You may require a touch up treatment 2 to 4 weeks after the first treatment to achieve your desired result. Restylane® treatment to enhance the lips is reported to last much longer than treatment using standard collagen filler. Radiesse® 
Radiesse® is an injectable dermal filler used to correct fine lines and folds in the face. This synthetic dermal filler is made up of microscopic calcium particles naturally found in bone, called calcium hydroxlapatite, which become suspended in gel for injection.
Where can Radiesse® be used?
Radiesse® can be used as a corrective filler in the lips, for filling in general wrinkles and lines, for improving the appearance of nasolabial folds, or “smile lines,” as well to define facial features such as the chin and jawline, cheeks and cheekbones, and nose. This filler can also be used effectively to help pull back jowels and provide a natural facelift.
Radiesse® may be used to enhance features that are less prominent than desired or to correct a facial asymmetry. Radiesse® is also highly useful as a contouring agent, as it can be used to contour and smooth the jawline and cheeks.
What is treatment with Radiesse® like?
During your treatment Radiesse® is injected into the deep dermis and subcutis, providing a foundation into which the body’s own tissue can grow and add volume. This quality is what makes Radiesse® particularly effective in treating areas where soft tissue augmentation is desired, such as in the cheeks or lips.
How safe is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is a safe material also used for dental reconstruction, bone growth, vocal cord reconstruction, and has proven to be very compatible with the body. Due to the fact Radiesse® is made up of naturally occurring substances and does not use any animal products, Radiesse® does not require an allergy test prior to administration.
How long will my Radiesse® results last?
Radiesse® lasts up to 8 to 14 months or more and is often said to have a more natural feel than other traditional treatments. Additionally, the substances used in Radiesse® stimulate your body to produce more collagen over time, so just one treatment provides a lasting effect. A second treatment may be necessary to help maintain the natural effect after a year or two.
